Bus Driver - Substitute

Job Description:

· 4 hr. Utility Bus Drivers (2)

· This position will require the driver to be flexible and able to drive any and all routes as needed.

· When not needed to drive, driver will be aiding on various buses, or assigned miscellaneous duties in the transportation / maintenance department to fulfill their contracted hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Valid CDL Class B w S/P endorsement.

· Ohio School Bus Drivers Certificate.

· Current valid BCII / FBI.

· Current Physical.

REPORTS TO:

· Transportation coordinator

SALARY:

· As per OAPSE negotiated agreement.

Custodian - Afternoon (Full-time)

Application deadline: January 23, 2024

Description:

Clean school building on a daily basis
Prepare facility for the school operations
Clean and maintain all athletic areas
Set up and prepare for all events
Maintain all changes as needed on all filters
Perform all applicable custodial duties as assigned and those outlined in the job description

Qualifications:

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
One year related experience preferred
Successful BCII & FBI background checks
Must possess or obtain a CDL Class B w/ SP endorsement

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to work effectively with others
Effective, active listening skills
Knowledge of appropriate safety procedures
Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, written warnings, and labels
Trained in the proper care and storage of chemicals, e.g. OHSA/PERRAC training
Knowledge of the care of materials, methods, and practices essential to proper cleaning of a facility
Knowledge of the care and proper use of sweepers, vacuum machines, carpet scrubbers, auto scrubbers, cleaning fluids, and other cleaning materials and equipment
Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently both orally and in writing
Organizational and problem solving skills
Trained in clean up and disposal of blood borne pathogens
Ability to learn proper use of materials, methods, and practices used in cleaning operations
Frequent requirement to lift, carry, push, and pull various supplies and materials to a maximum of 80 pounds, e.g., unloading trucks, carrying copier paper, pushing trash cart, salt and pails, and snow removal.
Good general knowledge of HVAC equipment and operation
Ability to perform light mechanical repairs (i.e. toilets, sinks, lockers, lights, switches, outlets, and general carpentry)

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Complete paperwork as required by supervisor
Make contacts with the public with tact and diplomacy
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and building occupants
Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
Exercise care with the use of cleaning materials for different types of building surgaces
Maintain respect at all times with confidential information
Drive school bus as required
Able to work overtime as required
Able to climb and work on ladders of various heights
Able to work various shifts and venues as required
