Psychologist
School psychologists play an important role in supporting students’ learning and overall well-being. Working closely with teachers, staff, and families, school psychologists help create conditions where every student can succeed.
This role includes:
Supporting student success
Collaborating with educators to address academic, social, and emotional needs so students can reach their potential.
Promoting positive behavior and coping skills
Providing strategies that help students manage emotions, build friendships, and stay focused in the classroom.
Collaborating with staff
Meeting with teachers and school teams to plan interventions and share effective approaches for supporting all learners.
Assessing learning needs
Conducting evaluations to identify students’ strengths and areas where additional support may be helpful.
Fostering safe and caring schools
Contributing to school-wide efforts that encourage kindness, reduce bullying, and strengthen the sense of community.
